The nurseries are ideally situated, located within the grounds of popular successful primary schools, and close to major road links.
Sunbeams is located in single storey modular buildings with an external enclosed play area. We want to create a friendly homely environment, which children love coming to play in. Sunbeams is about having fun whilst learning how to grow physically, emotionally and intellectually. The facilities have been designed with this in mind.
Safe premises
Sunbeams' premises have been specially designed to meet the needs of young children. The buildings are situated within the enclosed surrounding of school premises. On entry into Sunbeams there is a small lobby with an intercom system, which allows observation of people requesting entry. This system means that your child is secure whilst you can have open access to your Nursery.
A fire alarm system, fire doors and fire equipment have been installed, with regular fire drills scheduled, to practice fire procedure. This is essential to prevent young children from panicking if an alarm should sound.
Accidents
All staff are trained in accident prevention and first aid. The Nurseries are owned by a fully Registered General Nurse and Health Visitor who works hard to prevent accidents occurring in the first place. If however, your child does suffer an accident, an accident report form will be completed any treatment given appropriately. We will make sure that you are fully informed of the incident, how it happened, what action was taken and how it will be prevented from occurring in the future..
The collection of children
Children's safety is paramount in our Nursery. Therefore, we will only release children to a parent / authorised person. The 'authorised person' has to be known by Sunbeams staff and agreed by prior arrangement.
