All staff are selected on an equal opportunity basis, following a scored selection process and references.
Our staff have qualifications, experience and training in childcare (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ, Level 3 or equivalent). Police and health checks are undertaken prior to appointment.
Our comprehensive staff selection process is as follows:
Advertise in local and national press
Shortlist applicants against job specification and experience
Formal interview
Observed and scored working with children
Job offered subject to CRB checks and two references
We develop our staff to ensure that we have a happy and motivated team which means that your child receives the best care from a consistent and dedicated key worker and the whole nursery team.
Once appointed our staff are monitored and helped to develop using a process called Quality Performance Management (QPM). Every year staff can identify what their training needs and design a programme of training. Sunbeams will then arrange training to meet their needs. This means that are staff are continually updating their skills, knowledge and experience.
Training - all staff undergo a Quality Performance Management (QPM) and an annual appraisal, their Training Needs are identified and analysed for the year.
In House training as well as external training events are accessed depending on the organisational and individual training needs.
